When the word "meditative" is used to describe a book, I'm never sure if I'm going to find the book soothing or boring. Vagabonds is beautifully written and seems to move along at a lyrical pace. Will that pace be soothing or boring? I can't tell yet. That will all depend on the plot and character development. The jury is out on this one so far...
