Sweet book about human kindness
Some of my favorite stories in life are from the kindness of teachers. I grew up extremely poor in a place where having money guaranteed that you wouldn’t get bullied. Being poor was the first step at being tormented throughout elementary to high school. I did have some teachers that inspired me along the way and reading the “Learn by Heart” chapter really hit me in the heart. I found it very relatable.
I really did enjoy Good People. The short stories were inspiring and made me realize that I personally need to do more to pay it forward. Not only that but in a world with absolute chaos between politics, riots, sickness, and wars, this book is a breath of fresh air. The book reminds me of one of the chicken soup books I read as a teenager. A wonderful set of heartfelt stories to get anyone out of a depressive funk. The book touches on covid, bullying, LGBTQ issues, sickness, forgiveness and random kindness from strangers.
This would make a great coffee table book.
