Reminder that there are good people out there
This is a compilation of brief accounts of people being kind to others who were having a rough time. Many are acts of kindness by random strangers, including in foreign countries, but there are also sections on mentors and kids. The stories are a hopeful reminder of the goodness in people, but there is a lot of underlying sadness in some of the difficult situations of some of the writers (e.g. the story of the child in grade school being ostracized for being HIV positive was heart-breaking). So it may be triggering for some readers. But overall, it is generally uplifting, with its positive outlook. I found that it was non-taxing and easy to get through it quickly. I plan on keeping this one or gifting it to someone who is feeling discouraged. I was provided with an ARC (thanks to the author & publisher!) and I am voluntarily posting my honest review.
