When this book first hit my radar, I had no idea that the MC was autistic. Being the mom of an autistic son, I've had to learn a lot about autism so I can help him the best I can. Seeing an autistic MC portrayed in a way that made her both stubborn and fierce, is truly a heartwarming experience. I loved how her brain processed things and how she saw different people and different perspectives in almost every situation.

Not once, in this entire book, was the word autism or mental illness used. We were SHOWN autism- At least one form of it. Autism comes in many forms and never looks the same in people. Iselia was different, she was fae touched, she was a changeling. Her sister, Isolde, was her protector and her confidante. I love the whole dynamic of this book. Start to finish, I was completely drawn into the story by these characters. I can't wait to see what Ivelisse writes next!
