So obviously the cover to Unseelie is incredible. I love covers that feature character art so that I can really visualize who everyone is. I also enjoy the hints to other characters on the back side.

But aesthetics aside, Unseelie follows the story of twin sisters, Seelie and Isolde, who are on the run. Seelie has always felt different as she is a changeling and doesn't always understand those around her. Unseelie features an autistic main character and Ivelisse Housman did an amazing job with this representation. The opening note the author wrote about this was lovely and set a great tone.

While I thought it was well written, the problem for me was the pacing. I found myself bored most of the time reading this and continually felt like nothing was really happening to move the story along. BUT I did think the last 35 pages were genuinely exciting and fast paced. Also, I typically appreciate books with sisters, but I wish we could have seen a little more depth to Isolde's character. It was apparent that Seelie had utter care for her, unfortunately I just couldn't connect.
