I have followed Paul Holes since being introduced to him from "I'll Be Gone in the Dark" and then through the process of his rise to true crime fame from the Golden State Killer's arrest.
The insight into how his career of solving cold cases (on and off the clock) affected his personal life and family life was very interesting. I liked the balance of his cold case solving and his personal life anecdotes. Knowing he was always searching for answers for multiple cold cases, and not just the big one (aka The Golden State Killer) was very interesting to see and encouraging as well, since he was really in it just to help families get answers. Going back and watching the press conference for the GSK while Paul talked about his feelings was an insightful way to add to the book.
Overall it was a great read, if you're into true crime.
