I just finished unmasked by the amazing (and good looking I might add) @paul.holes the behind one of the most notorious serial killers in our century, the EAR (east area rapist) a man who terrorized California for decades and was the subject of many a story including ILL BE GONE IN THE DARK by the late Michelle Macnamara and the subsequent docuseries on @hbomax .
This book is a deep dive into the great detective work and the toll it takes on a person, not just working such a notorious case for so long but the many brutal and senseless homicides and how a person copes with it when it’s their line of work. I’ve personally always been fascinated by what types of jobs people do so this was such a cool and interesting read.
