This had me hooked from the prologue alone. I've always been interested in true crime, but more in the sense that learning how a case is solved has always been fascinating. Like many other true crime junkies, I've listened to podcasts, watch documentaries, and-of course- read I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara. To hear about this case from the eyes of the detective who pulled it out of the cold case files would add another layer of understanding. A peek behind the curtain of how we can solve these previously "unsolvable" tragedies and bring closure to families. Even if I don't win this book I'll be finding a way to get my hands on it.
