It’s disturbing the mental toll detectives have. They get their own form of lifelong ptsd and you can really understand that through this author’s words. You can also see the addictive need to solve a crime and how victims can easily become the afterthought bc the goal is finding the criminal. It is well written and I would definitely read more!
