WOW. I was so in love with this book it’s hard for me to even describe it. From the author Lynda La Plante (famous for her PBS Masterpeice mystery ‘Prime Suspect’) comes an absolutely chilling murder mystery which takes place in London. When builders are working on an old convent they find an unexplained coffin with the body of a young nun. If that wasn’t spooky enough when they open it they fight scratches on the inside of the lid.. which only means one thing. The nun was buried alive. This was all I needed to know to be sure this was a book for me. Was it really a nun or was the body dressed like a nun? Why was a poor nun murdered? And why was she seemingly buried alive? So many questions! I really enjoyed the way La Plante built up the suspense and writing style made it near impossible to put the book down. This is my first time reading anything by this author and I’m so glad I did!
