I've read several stories by the author Lynda La Plante. This was the latest book in her Jane Tennison series. I'm not as familiar with this series and characters as I am with other series she has written. However being a fan of her other work I thought I would give this book a shot. The story line was good and the outcome was unexpected but details about the characters lives didn't make a lot of sense to me. However if I had read the previous books in the series then those details would have made perfect sense to me for sure. The murder mystery itself was good and it kept me guessing until the end. There were certain things in the story that made me mad and I almost did not finish the book because I got mad more than once. I especially got really mad when the truth came out about what had happened to the murder victim and several of the characters that had known something about it.
