I have never read anything in this series before but I was still able to follow along. I will admit I was confused about what time period this took place in. There was a lot of technology that seemed to be brand new that's been around for a while. Other than the confusion over when this takes place I loved it!!! Jane is an interesting character full of flaws and heart. The mystery will keep you guessing until the end and even than there are plenty of unanswered questions. The suspects are real and the stupid things they do I can see real life people doing. There was plenty of twists some you could guess and plenty you never saw coming. And that ending I never saw coming. The personal lives of the detectives is as important as the mystery but it never overwhelms the plot. I loved everything about this book and it's one of those that you have to read again after you know all the details.
