This was one of those books where you just don't want to put it down until you finish the last page. Lynda has once again given us a well written story of intrigue and murder. I am really looking forward to more of her books and have enjoyed everything that I have read of hers so far. A coffin is found with a nun inside on the grounds of a historic convent. Detective Jane Tennison is sent to investigate it and it is found that the coffin has scratch marks from on the inside of it making Jane believe that possibly whoever the nun was had in fact been buried alive. Tennison's superiors want to simply dismiss the case and add it to the cold case file and the Catholic church is trying desperately to sweep everything under the rug so to speak. Jane struggles with misleads, lies from the church and her superiors because she wants to find justice for the young nun who was buried alive.
