I am intrigued after reading the first impression, but not to any truly notable degree. A mystery novel that starts out with a dead body is, by it's essence, typically going to be intriguing, but there was nothing (characters, writing, or secondary storylines) beyond the fact that it's a mystery novel that really pulled me in.
