Under the Naga Tail has a number of features that nonfiction lovers will appreciate: a family tree, map, and most importantly a compelling premise. The novel captures the author’s father’s experience growing up during Pol Pot’s reign of terror. The story is a firsthand account of a tragic past that deserves more recognition, and I was drawn to the thoughtful details the author provides. Recommended for lovers of memoir and history!
