The premise itself is enough to spark my interest--there aren't nearly enough of books about the Cambodian genocide--but the personal nature with which Under the Naga Tail makes it especially compelling. You can tell this book is a project near and dear to James Taing's heart, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the book.
