An important, and well-written story

I love the way this story is set up. The author's note explaining his motivation for committing to put his father's story to paper (and get it published), the family tree and maps all welcome the readers into the story. While I was fully prepared to be engrossed by the story, I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy the writing. From how the author describes the moon as "Heaven’s most adored lantern, largest and brightest, floating high in the black curtain of the skies," I was hooked.
