I love everything about this book, from its cover design that conveys a solemn story contained within to the significance of the title stemming from ancient myths, and of course the story itself, the shocking cruelty and genocide of Pol Pot. There are generations of people who do not know anything about him, particularly in North America; this book is an important part of history and is special in its ability to make history interesting for any age. Book clubs would like this, travel groups should read this befor going to Cambodia, and secondary history teachers could incorporate it into a curriculum. Just because a nation is great at one time does not mean it will last forever, Under the Naga Trail is exceptional !
