When I read the first look, I was really interested in reading more about this book. I feel like the first look was a good glimpse into this book and it held true. I really enjoyed this book overall. I thought that the story was really interesting and the plot kept me interested in the story throughout.
I enjoyed that there were moments of poetry incorporated into the book and they were really well done. Sometimes books include a different method of writing and it kind of ruins a story. This did not do that. I feel like their execution made the story better.
I was only able to give this book 4 stars because I do feel that it moved a little slowly. I generally prefer a more fast paced book but can understand why this one didn't follow that path. I think that overall, the story and the characters were what kept me reading and I really enjoyed this book overall.
