This book is meant to be for teens, so it totally makes sense why I did not particularly connect with this book. I gave it three stars because I objectively I do think it is an interesting enough story. However, I just kept finding myself bored. I would quickly skim through a lot of chunks because I was just trying to finish it. I did not feel a whole lot for any of the characters. Maybe that just was because I could not relate to them. I do read some books where the characters are teenagers, but it really depends on the book to whether or not I connect with the character. In this case, this story was just too young. I think the best part was getting to see some of Nigerian culture which I am not all that familiar with. Beyond that though the story felt super generic. I do like the sibling aspect as I am close with my siblings, and I like seeing characters in books interact with their siblings.
