Adanna Nkwachi is such a great character, she made the whole book worth reading. She is definitely a relatable character, especially trying to fit into a world that loves to define people in such solid boxes when people can fit into more than one. (as an Asian-American, definitely felt this). Also, her solid plan for the future was so similar to mine I was surprised (still on the lawyer track right now, so we'll see if that changes). I didn't have the same struggles she did, but I enjoyed reading about how she dealt with it. I also really loved seeing the sprinkles of Nigerian culture and life of immigrant parents.

The side characters weren't entirely fleshed out, which I was sad about (because I love shipping side characters and I was looking for that quirky side and more from Sam!).

I did think that the book went on for a bit longer than it should have (and was predictable) but still a worthwhile read.
