Thank you to Bookishfirst and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Twice as Hard: Navigating Black Stereotypes and Creating Space for Success is an honest, thought-provoking book that highlights the struggle of the black community, as they are not fairly treated as equals in the work force, and thus have to work twice as hard (hence the title). It provides helpful advice on how to progress in business, knowing that there are extra challenges. I think some advice can be helpful to anyone in the work force, however; for example, networking, collaboration, etc. Although I am a minority, I am not a black person, and therefore, can not begin to truly understand the hardships they endure in life with the very real presence of systemic racism, but this book at least brings awareness and opportunity to see through the authors' (and the black community's) perspective, based on experiences and research.
