At this time, sadly, a much needed book
As a white woman, I feel it is my duty to read books by BIPOC people to broaden my horizons. This book is likely not written for people like me, and I get that. It appears well written and quite timely given where we are in racial divides. The title drew me in, I remember my mom telling me that as a poor kid, especially a girl I had to try twice as hard as others.
