Gil receives a partial scholarship,school's robotics program and a chance for a better future he wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for that.His first day he runs into the golden boy at his new school and finds out what the school is really like he wants the school to accept and treat him and his fellow black students equal and mean it,he wages war on the school, administration,students and parents to make it happen Took me a little bit to get into the story I liked reading about Gil's family and friends,his neighborhood.Its a little upsetting at times about the treatment him and his fellow black students endure at their school who clearly doesn't care about them what he's willing to do to make the place better for everyone and almost loosing everybody to make it happen.I would recommend the author's debut novel.................
