Well-drawn characters, a strong sense of place, and a hint of something "not quite right" in Burning Lake all combine to create a tantalizing mystery. The complex character of Natalie Lockhart draws the reader into the story and now I want to read more, to know who killed Daisy Bucker and what Natalie discovers in her investigation.
