A breath taking and highly visual story. This book is so hard to describe and put into just one category or genre. Mythology, romance, adventure...this book has it all! The way the story is told is so detailed and intrinsic that it almost feels like poetry. I also have to applaud how the romance is intertwined into the story but doesn't take away from the other subplots and story line. It is not often in a fantasy or historical fiction novel where that is the case. I also highly enjoyed learning a bit more about celtic lore and the world that this is set in. Also it is so refreshing to see women as equals in this sort of story. I would highly recommend this to fans of historical fiction mixed with lore/fantasy elements.
