I loved this book. The author captures what life was like in Ireland's early years. I liked the way the story flowed, like waves on the ocean. Keelin's fate has been deemed by the gods, though she disagrees. I like how the story of Keelin develops and you see her struggles. She likes being a healer, but longs for something more. I thought the author did a great job of keeping the flow of the plot going and made this a very readable book.
The characters are well developed and you see how they grow and change as the story progresses. It has adventure, history, romance and fantasy. I also like the dynamics of the interactions between characters. If you like those elements then this could be your next summer read.
