I have read some of the reviews of this book, and I do have to agree that the author did not dig particularly deep into the world building or the characters, but I was still able to enjoy it. While no time period is given, I believe it's set B.C in Ireland during the time of the Druids. I would have loved to have had more details of the Druid life and definitely could have used more details of the magic and healing that took place. And while I did think the author did a pretty good job with setting the scenery I could have used more details of daily life to set the time period and place. But again, I still enjoyed the story. Also enjoyable was the feel of the book - nice and heavy with thick pages :)
