The cover alone makes me want to pick up this book, but as a lover of haunting historical fiction, I'm sold. The first chapter is well-written and leaves me wanting to read the rest of the book! The hardships of being an early American settler and the horror of being colonized BY an early American settler makes this book intriguing and powerful.
