Overwhelmingly good!
I have loved Christopher Paolini ever since I read Eragon (and even more so with each sequel). When I heard about To Sleep in a Sea Of Stars, I knew I needed a copy! I'm so thankful that BookishFirst aided in fulfilling this goal.
I am happy to report that the book far exceeded my expectations. It was a lot more "scientific" than his first books, but the story is amazing, characters perfectly described, and the cover is gorgeous! I love first contact stories. It's actually one of my favorite subgenres within Science Fiction. It is so well done here, you can definitely tell that Paolini is a SciFi fan himself. I loved how Paolini incorporated humor and witty banter into this story. It made the characters seem so real; they were reacting how you expect people in real life to react to such crazy and dire circumstances.
Now onto recommending it to everyone I see!
