Fantastic Read!!
This is the kind of space opera I have been wanting to read my entire life, but did not quite realize it until I picked up this book.
Paolini's writing style and voice has certainly grown in the years since he wrote "The Inheritance Cycle". I particularly appreciated the years of writing and research that he put into this story, as he talked about in the acknowledgements. As the reader, I got this sense of deliberate confidence about every story detail as I read.
The world building was solid. There was a bit of beauty and art in how the story unfolded. Unlike the average science fiction novel, "To Sleep In A Sea of Stars" reminded me of a fantasy novel, a bit "slow" in pacing, but never boring or making me want to skim or skip ahead. This book is one that I will return to and read again several times in the future, and will recommend to fellow readers.
