What I wanted to see in this book was Paolini’s growth and where is he as an author now. I loved his Inheritance Cycle, and I am pleased to inform that, even thought you can see bits of his fantasy past, he has done an amazing job at reinventing himself. This book proves that Paolini can write any genre he wants, and not only that, also that he truly knows his sci-fi.

This book is the first in a series, so it’s quite introductory and a bit slow. However, that does not mean it is slow, in the contrary, most chaparte are fast paced.
The story is plot driven, but even if you like character driven stories, I think you will find this book a very pleasant read because it does an awesome job at keep you wanting for more.

What I am most pleased to see is that Paolini’s writing has evolved, but it is also very approachable, so I would recommend this book to someone who wants to start reading sci-fi.

Overall, I think this book is promising. I want to be cautious with my expectations for the second book, but I can assure it is a solid beginning.
