What first caught me about this book was the title and gorgeous glowing cover, but what surprised me was the writing. Even if sci-fi isn't something you'd normally read, the writing style is absolutely engrossing--you feel like you're watching a movie. Every detail is described in a way that you can feel what's happening around you. The main characters are relatable in the sense that even though it takes place in the future with all kinds of far-fetched technology, they're still human just like any one reading. The first impression read ends on a massive cliff-hanger: you have to be crazy not to read what's going to happen next! I was on the edge of my seat and now I feel so connected to this story I have to read the rest, ASAP.
