A Thrilling and Out of This World Read
I knew that I needed To Sleep in a Sea of Stars in my hands the moment I saw the stunning cover. I also was a fan of the Eragon novels back in the day and wanted to check out Christopher Paolini's first adult novel.
I rarely read heavy science fiction novels so this 800 paged giant one was intimidating for me. However, from chapter one and Paolini's writing style I knew that I would love this novel. It was so easy to get sucked into this strange new world he created and root for our main character, Kira Navárez.
Christopher Paolini's setting and world-building was well-crafted. He also did a great job of creating a varying cast of side characters that kept the story interesting as it unfolded over 800 pages. The plot was original and took twists and turns that made the reading experience thrilling for me.
It was a long novel that took dedication to read but I was never bored when I picked it up. I took a long time reading this one because I did not want this epic story to come to an end.
