Looks promising and love to see an author trying a new genre!

Holy moly, just at first glance this is a monster of a novel that makes me feel almost incompetent for its contents! I have never read the Eragon series, and I was intrigued to hear the author was writing a novel that was completely outside of his fantasy/dragon genre. I was bummed that I missed out on claiming an ARC with my points this morning! The synopsis is intriguing enough, and the cover is stunning. The sample that we can read showcases the author's excellent writing ability, and I just love his style and descriptions. Really looking forward to this one! It seems like it will be one to savor and reread over and over again to pick up on all the details and intricacies, which let's be honest... those are the best kinds of stories.
