I've been a huge Paolini fan since I first stumbled upon Eragon when searching for books I could share with my son. Now he's a physicist and this new book is set in space, dedicated in part to the "scientists working to build a future among the stars". I can't help but feel he played a role in developing my son's sense of wonder as he grew up.

And what an incredible new world!

Paolini starts with the characters, a slow start full of phenominal world building and character development. But it doesn't take long for the action to jump off the page. I am salivating for more, needing to know what's going to happen to Kira, and WHAT WAS THAT DUST???
