I was apprehensive about this story as I didn’t care for Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle. I was worried that was going to be as long and overly explained as his first series. However, from my first reading of it, I delighted by his new path into science fiction. I feel that he has definitely grown as an author and that this new story will be a true example of what he can do.
