What an excellent start! The suspense is real, and the world building is intriguing. After the first couple of pages, it was very easy for me to get drawn right into the story. The descriptive writing was well executed and atmospheric, and the beautiful cover was what first drew me into wanting to read this book. The story is outstanding so far, and I already care about Kira and Alan's fate. Their romance is very sweet and compelling. The end of this excerpt reminded me of the Inhumans part of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., when Terrigenesis occurred for a few characters. As I read I was also reminded of the book Aurora Rising, which I loved very much. I need to find out what happens next!
