I just want to start out by saying this is a beautiful book that has everything! A plot, a mystery, great dialog, wonderful characters. but most of all the descriptions of places and things that happen to make you feel like you are there in the moment. Whether it's when they go to a jazz club, to artist school, going to Minx's parent's house, as they are so wealthy and live in the best place New York has to offer, or Minx's apt in Greenwich Village is like entering a world she has never seen before. Unfortunately she has secrets, and they cause her to have a lot of anxiety.

You will read about Jenny's past and what happens to her and her mother. Jenny's Dad died before she was born but her mother and aunt raised her and she was a happy girl until her teens. Jenny goes through darkness, but will she be able to live in the light?

When Jenny and Minx go to Tiffany's beautiful mansion, and artist colony it is like nothing she has ever seen, and the beauty of all of it overwhelms her! There she meets Oliver, Mr Tiffany's grandson, who she has an instant attraction to, and he feels the same way.

When she meets Louis Comfort Tiffany, he just feels her sorrow and sees that she needs to start painting in color to release all the inner despair she has and he tells her to "paint like your life depends on it!"

Her best friend Minx also has her secrets, and though she is beautiful, she is very susceptible to a man's charm, which has caused her many problems in the past will even cause her problems at the Artist colony. Minx is extremely talented and loves Jenny!

The love she feels for Oliver, Tiffany's grandson is the first love she has ever felt for a man, and she finds herself in unfamiliar waters. Oliver is her first kiss, and she gives herself to him willingly, as she loves him and she can feel his love as well.

There is something that happens at the end I did not expect, and my heart broke for Jenny, as well as Minx and Oliver!

There are so many great things about this book that I loved, but I do not want to ruin it for anyone, this historical fiction novel will stay with me for a long time, and I am sure I will read again like we tend to do with our favorite books.

I gave this book 5*****stars and can't wait to read more by this author!
