This Is How You Lose the Time War is futurism meets quantum entanglement meets Romeo and Juliet.

Award-winning authors Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone masterfully weave together their distinct voices as two ageless, genderless, and (literally) timeless characters known only as Red and Blue. Two time traveling agents from warring futures, Red and Blue work their way through the past to ensure that their future will succeed and, in the process, begin exchanging notes buried deep in objects found in different timelines. What begins as mocking notes between rival agents gradually evolves into clandestine love letters. Poetically embedded in trees, water, spiders, and MRI machines, these letters—and the book itself—illustrates one universal idea: love transcends all boundaries.

Cowritten by two beloved and award-winning sci-fi writers, This Is How You Lose the Time War is an epic love story spanning time and space.
