I’m going to rate this book middle of the road because I can see it being for some. I can see how this book could be absolutely adored by many, but all of this to say, it was not the book for me. The book is very lyrical and poetic with nameless characters on opposing sides of time.
It’s abstract. You have to appreciate the “nothing happens but look at this beautiful writing and mysterious characters” type of book to love this. That is not necessarily meant to be a bad thing. Some people see such beauty and enjoy these types of books even more than action packed books. I can respect that, but it just is not what I personally enjoy in a book. I can even take a character driven book rather than an eventful one, but this one was a little too out there for me.
I definitely say read the preview and see if this book is for you. If you love the preview, you will most likely enjoy this book in it’s entirety.
