Not my cup of tea
Looking at overall rating of this book, it is clear that mine is a very unpopular opinion. I did not like this book at all. Was very intrigued by the premise, but it was a huge let down for me. The biggest issue I had with the story was the fact that there is absolutely no world-building. I was dropped right in a middle of....something and it was extremely confusing. This approach might work for a story set in a contemporary world, but for something that has SciFi and time travel elements, I needed something, maybe just a chapter or two, that would have helped me understand where I was and what this world with some kind of war was all about. In addition, I didn't like the writing. Other reviewers call it "poetic" and it may be so. However, I am not a fan of poetry and to me the writing was choppy with it's weird short sentences.
