Told in a series of letters, characters Red and Blue communicate from different places in time. And they speak of both past and present, as they can jump through time. Each is part of a group that is at war with the other and their letters include tricks and insults. Little by little, however, their relationship morphs and changes for the better.

Though the premise is intriguing, I got too lost in the story to truly understand what was going on. And as a result of this, I didn't care about Red and Blue enough to truly care what happened to them. The book doesn't run in a linear fashion, which is interesting, but I didn't feel the authors did a good enough job using this specific story structure to create an engaging and emotional book.
