Two agents, Red, working for the Agency, and Blue, working for the Garden, rival their way through the threads of time. They begin to leave each other correspondence along the way. I knew nothing more than this going in and do not what to spoil anything. This novella is beautiful, lyrical and timeless. It’s one of those that I can’t wait to read again. Knowing how this story develops will only make the reread richer.
I do not think you need to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy this novel. It is completely unique. There is war and love and letters looping through time, told in the most lyrical prose. It may take a bit to figure out but be patient and enjoy the ride. It comes together beautifully. All of this is packed into such a compact package. It left me wanting more, but at the same time feeling like it was perfectly complete. This is one I will recommend throughout the years.
