This is How You Lose the Time War is a stunningly beautiful book; I've never seen words used in such a manner. I've heard nothing but good things about it, and was glad I finally got the chance to listen to it on audiobook. I had initially struggled with reading it, but found the audiobook to be incredibly compelling.

While I struggled to understand the plot — as well as the characters themselves, I found that I didn't mind entirely simply because of how beautifully written it was. I'm normally much more of a character-driven and plot-driven reader, and need some kind of character growth and development, but found that I didn't mind at all with this one. It's packed with a lot of yearning, lyrical text, and haunting visualizations that I'll be thinking about for ages. I would highly recommend This is How You Lose the Time war to anyone who is looking for an epistolary read, looking for sapphic representation, and lovers of sci-fi.
