I wish I could come on here and praise This Is How You Lose The Time War until the cows come home because I truly believe it is a remarkable read. However, it is not the remarkable read for me. While I deeply appreciate this novel and its existence, there are many things about this novel that turn it away from being one of my favorites.
The novel is short, which is something I liked about it. However, its content is hefty from a mental standpoint. The novel's writing is complex, and it is primarily told through academic language and references that I could not always grasp. But, it is not the book's fault I am not intelligent enough for it. The academic references I did understand were brilliantly captivating and told a story that was breathtakingly beautiful. Therefore, I challenge anyone to give this book a chance, you may like it and you may not, but regardless, it is still a gorgeous love story.
