I make it a point to not read time travel books. Time paradoxes are the point of most of them. You sort time to make the result you want and ignore the unintended consequences until they are so many the crush the story. This story seems to be intent on being beyond paradox because the principals are outside the time stream. That may make it an exception to my rule.
