This is a very unique set up that brings you on from the beginning. As a sci-fi fan, I want to know more about Red and this letter. I wish the first look told you a little more about what was actually going on and see both perspectives. The cover doesn't make the book seem as science fiction like as it is; I'm wondering if the book will show us a significance of the birds.
