Three years ago during their Freshman year, Jill's best friend Shaila was killed. Jill and her friends thought Shaila's boyfriend killed her, but during their Senior year more information puts doubt in Jill's mind. Jill is torn between finding out the truth and keeping her head low to keep her grades up.
I loved the Players club, it added a fun element that we slowly learned more about through the present timeline and when Jill was a freshman being initiated into the Players. Of course there were elements that were difficult to read, especially as Jill reflects more on how the boys in the Players are always in control and take advantage of others.
The main suspects were people that from the beginning I thought they might have something to do with it, but I enjoyed the conclusion. Even though I was starting to get an idea of the ending early on, there were still details that I did not expect and liked how it unfolded.
Overall this book was enjoyable to read!
