This book was okay. Just okay. Why just okay? Well, it had so much potential. I love mysteries and murders and the whole high school drama/mess/tension situation. And guess what? This book had all three, and more. And yet, it still fell short.
I don't know exactly why. Maybe because I just couldn't connect with any of the characters, especially the main character, who annoyed me to no end. Or maybe because the ending was way too predictable to me(but that might just be because I've read too many mysteries to count, and this one was not exactly the hardest to figure out). Or maybe because the murder/mystery part of the book was kind of pushed aside for a bunch of other unnecessary drama.
All that being said, I did enjoy many aspects of this book, and it was written pretty well for a YA book. So, three stars for that.
I think it's an okay read, and I don't regret reading it. I just think it could have been better.
